Mary E. Boser "Loving wife and mother" and "Local business woman"
Olean-- Mary E. Boser of 1428 Promised Land Acres in Olean, passed away Thursday December 31, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born May 5, 1961 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of Paul R. and Patricia G. Manley Baier. On November 3, 1984 in Buffalo, NY she married Andrew H. Boser, III who survives.
Mrs. Boser was a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School in Buffalo and received an Associates Degree of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Erie Community College in Buffalo. She later graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cardio Respiratory Sciences.
She had been employed as a cardio pulmonary technician at the former Wormer Medical Center from 1983 until 1990. In 1992 she was employed by Olean General Hospital, first as a respiratory therapist and later as a cardiac sonographer. From 2002 until the present she worked for Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY as a cardiac sonographer. Since 2006 to the present she had independently owned and operated Southern Tier Cardiovascular Ultrasound and Heart Sounds Ultrasound, Inc. Since 2005 she has owned and operated Hi-Ho Inc. and Illusion Hill Farms with her family.
She was a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and was registered both as a cardiac sonographer and as a respiratory therapist.
Surviving besides her husband are 2 sons Andrew Zachary Boser and Alexander Jacob Boser, both at home; 3 brothers Paul R. (Darlene) Baier of Akron, NY, Michael J. (Maureen) Baier of Tonawanda and Peter K. Baier of Grand Island, NY; 1 sister Jennifer M. Baier of Portland, OR; 1 uncle John (Rosella) Manley of Kenmore, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road Olean on Saturday (January 2, 2010) from 1-3 and 5-8pm. A prayer service will follow at 8:00pm in the funeral home. Rev. David Herne, pastor of Heritage Aflame ministries, will officiate.
Memorials if desired may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
