Mr. Hesse will always be remembered for the great teaching he did at Allegany Central School. Both of us were his students and Jim also had the pleasure of having him as his homeroom teacher also. One funny memory is he always got jan and jim mixed up when calling on them to read from the history book. He made history an enjoyable class to us and will always remember him for his fine work in the school. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hesse family and all those who knew him and loved him.--jim and jan salhoff, venice, FL

No words can express the loss of a parent. Just know that the memories your family retain and keep alive are what matters. The memory of your dad at ACS as a teacher, and a father of friends will forever be remembered. The Hesse family is always fondly remembered and in our thoughts and prayers. Our sincere condolences, The Bradley Family

Somehow your Dad's name came up in a conversation recently - good ol' school day memories. It's sad to think one minute it was a laughing and happy thought, and then receive news of his passing. I'll never forget his wit - I hated the subject but Mr.H's attitude meant I didn't "skip" or moan about going to class. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your father. Losing a parent is so difficult but knowing he was loved and admired by so many people, especially his former students, should ease your pain. He was a great teacher but more than that a great person. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.
