Cuba, NY—Brenda A. Randall of 9060 Gross Rd. died Thursday (June 26, 2008) in Highland Hospital, Rochester after an aggressive short term battle with cancer.
Born June 10, 1949 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Charles John Bish and Dorothy Potter Bish. On December 14, 1968 in Olean she married David W. Randall, Sr. who survives.
Mrs. Randall had been a member of and was an active firefighter for the Sandy Creek Volunteer Fire Department in Leander, Texas and she also was the first president of its Auxiliary. She had recently been a member of the Norton Chambers American Legion Post 1434 Auxiliary of Hinsdale.
She belonged to the Carpenter Shop Ministries of Jacksonville, FL and was an avid gardener, seamstress and homemaker.
Surviving besides her husband is her mother of Scio; her stepfather William D. Showers of Scio; 5 children James J. (Krista) Randall of Jacksonville, FL, Kim M. (John) Porter of Jacksonville, FL, David W. (Teresa) Randall, Jr. of Brady, TX, Daniel M. Randall of Cuba and Teresa A. (Michael) Campbell of Cuba; 14 grandchildren Joshua Randall of Jacksonville, FL, Crystal Randall of Liberty Hill, TX, Patrick Gallagher, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Samantha M. Randall of Jacksonville, FL, Samantha J. Randall of Liberty Hill, TX, Ann Randall and Dylan Randall, both of Jacksonville, FL, Dakota Campbell of Cuba, Alyssa Randall and Rose Porter, both of Jacksonville, FL, Kayla Campbell of Cuba, Brittany Randall of Liberty Hill, TX, James Randall and Zailey Randall, both of Brady, TX; 4 sisters Bonnie (Sherman) Neal, Betty Langdon, Ezora (Chris) Blade and Patricia (Wayne) Middaugh; 3 brothers Charles (Lavrie) Bish, Jr., E. Scott (Ruth) Bish and William Showers, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and a special friend Lois Haberberger of Hinsdale.
She was predeceased by her father and 1 son Charles Richard Randall in 1974.
A visitation and funeral service was held at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean on Saturday (June 28, 2008). Rev. Frank Hayman officiated. Burial was at the convenience of the family.
