RICHARD A. BROCKEL "Loving Husband and Father" CUBA - Richard A. Brockel of North Shore Road, Cuba died Monday July 8, 2002 at his residence. Born in Olean on September 9, 1961 he was a son of Arnold A. and Evelyn D. Fisk Brockel, Sr. On July 12, 2001 he married Tracey Finch who survives. Mr. Brockel was an avid fisherman and sportsman and enjoyed working on his truck. He was formerly employed for Dempsey Pipe and Supply in Bolivar, NY. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three step-children Eric Pitts of Cuba, James Pitts and Tiffaney Pitts both of Little Genesee; two brothers David (Kathryn) Brockel of Olean, Arnold (Andrea) Brockel of Hinsdale and a sister Laura (Vohn) Austin of Olean; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents Leon (Florence) Fisk and Henry and Doris Brockel. Friends will be received on Thursday July 11, 2002 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road Olean from 6 - 8 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev. Steve Beattie, pastor of the United Pentacostal Church, will officiate. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
