Obituary of Tina L. Chiapuso Fidurko

Tina L. Chiapuso Fidurko “avid bingo player” Olean, NY-- Tina L. Chiapuso Fidurko of 822 Homer St., recently of The Pines in Olean died Tuesday (April 4, 2006) after a short illness. Born December 13, 1914 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Joseph and Albina Kobodu Chiapuso. On July 26, 1938 in Olean she married John F. Fidurko who predeceased her August 25, 1994. Mrs. Fidurko was a graduate of Olean High School and was a member of St. John’s Church in Olean. She also belonged to the Pulaski Club Auxiliary. As a homemaker she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed Polish music, crocheting and playing bingo. Surviving are 4 sons William (Diane) Fidurko of Needham, MA, Joseph F. Fidurko of Elmira, Bernard (Lori) Fidurko of Rochester and John (Andrea) Fidurko of Olean; 2 daughters Mary Ann (John) Hirliman and Bernadette (Casey) Jones, both of Olean; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 brother John Chiapuso of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm Funeral services will be held Friday (April 7, 2006) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. John’s Church. Msgr William Wangler, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Heart Association 25 Hazelwood Dr., Suite 116 W.
