Obituary of Ruth S. Conhiser

Ruth S. Conhiser “Loving wife, mother, grandmother” Allegany, NY– Ruth S. Conhiser of 3869 Wing Hollow Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday (May 11, 2006) in The Waters of Allegany. Born January 8, 1925 in Allegany, NY she was the daughter of Oliver J. and Teresa Hirt Klice. On June 7, 1947 at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany she married Robert E. Conhiser who survives. Mrs. Conhiser was raised in Allegany and worked on the family farm. After she was married she was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time raising her family and working in the flower garden around her home. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. Surviving besides her husband are 1 daughter Lynda (Loren) Turner of Allegany; 1 son Edward (Suzanne) Conhiser of Allegany; 5 grandchildren Catherine (Chris) Andera, Christine (James) Steurrys, Carolyn (Steven) Andrews, Tracy (Alex) Uy and Jason (Michelle) Conhiser; 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother Edward Klice and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 brothers Merle Klice, Howard Klice, Harry Klice, Albert Klice and James Klice and 3 sisters Lucille Whitman, Gertrude Klice and Agatha Klice. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean today from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday (May 13, 2006) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
