Obituary of Janet M. Mohr

Janet M. Mohr “loving mother and grandmother; prayerful woman” Allegany, NY—Janet M. Mohr of 110 E. Main St. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday (June 28, 2006) in The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center, Olean after a short illness. Born May 4, 1907 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of George and Jeannette !McCory Eaton. On November 7, 1929 in Allegany, NY she married Arthur J. Mohr who predeceased her January 24, 1973. Mrs. Mohr was raised in Olean and attended Olean schools. She has been a resident of Allegany since 1929. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and its Altar and Rosary Society and will be remembered as one who always prayed for any family or friends in need of prayer. Surviving are 2 daughters Beatrice Patrizi of Jamestown and Mary Bernadette Mohr of Marysville, WA; 1 son Joseph (Rae) Mohr of Olean; 8 grandchildren Randy Mohr, Thomas (Linda) Mohr and Vicki (William) Blessing, all of Olean, Dorothy (Melvin) Tanner, Marie (James) Fiorella, Denise Patrizi, Tony (Jean) Patrizi, all of Jamestown and Margaret (Dennis) Fortenberry of Dustin, FL,; 23 great grandchildren, 2 of whom are serving in the US military; 11 great great grandchildren; 1 sister Sr. Genevieve Eaton of Watchung, NJ, numerous loving nieces and nephews and 2 special friends Jim and Linda Rodgers of Olean. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a grandson Raymond Mohr in 1972 and a sister Aliene Norton in 1987. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean today from 5-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday (July 1, 2006) at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Church. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Bonaventure Church, the Allegany Fire Department or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
