Wellsville, NY—Gertrud Field, formerly of N. 3rd St. in Allegany died suddenly Monday (August 14, 2006) in the Wellsville Manor.
Born February 8, 1914 in Germany, she was the daughter of Karl and Leana Kluk Gast. She was married to Howard A. Field who predeceased her.
Mrs. Field was a homemaker who resided in Allegany for many years and she was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Olean.
Surviving are a brother-in-law Stephan Paradzsik of Wellsville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 1 brother Heinrich Gast and 2 sisters Hilda Paradzsik and Gretel Gast.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Wednesday (August 16, 2006) from 12:30pm until time of services at 2:00pm. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
