Obituary of Marie J. Edel

Marie J. Edel Englewood, FL--Marie J. Edel, 64, of Englewood, FL died Friday (September 15, 2006) at the Tandem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Charlotte, FL. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born June 23,1942 in Olean, NY she was a daughter of Charles F. and Clara A. Wilber Allwood. She was a resident of Vandalia and Allegany and later moved to Florida during the winter months. She had formerly retired from the Allegany Nursing Home after serving many dedicated years there. Survivors include a son, Richard Allwood; a brother Delbert Allwood of Hinsdale, N.Y.; a step daughter Darlene Mueller of Port Charlotte, Fl; a step son David Edel of Belfast, N.Y. and other relatives that loved and will miss Marie dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Edel and her parents. At Mrs. Edel’s request, a family only service will be held on Wednesday (September 20, 2006) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
