Michael P. Mayer
Olean, NY-- Michael P. Mayer of 1222 Main St. died Saturday (August 23, 2003) in his home.
Born September 10, 1942 in Olean, NY he was the son of William E. and Catherine D. Garvey Mayer.
Mr. Mayer was a graduate of Olean High School and of Morrisville State College. He then served for four years in the USA Air Force in Okinawa during the Vietnam War and later worked for Dresser Clark for a number of years. He enjoyed spending time working on cars.
Surviving are 1 sister Patricia Mayer of Chelmsford, NH; 1 brother William G. (Carolyn) Mayer of Auburn, NY; 2 nieces Christine Mayer and Suzanne Mayer and 1 nephew William R. Mayer.
Friends were received today from 11:00am until 12:30pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 1:00pm in St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department.
