Obituary of Shirley L. Taylor

Shirley L. Taylor Olean, NY- Shirley L. Taylor, 84, passed away Saturday ( October 5, 2024) at the Wyoming County Community Health System in Warsaw, after a brief illness. Born June 1, 1940 in Coudersport, PA, she was the daughter of Daniel and Myrtle Daley Bloomster. She was married to Robert Taylor who predeceased her. Shirley worked as a CNA for The Pines in Olean for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olean. In her free time she enjoyed puzzles, adult coloring, reading and cooking. She is survived by her children Brian Taylor of Wellsville, Dennis Taylor of Wellsville, and Barry Taylor of Olean; a granddaughter Chalsey Weiss of Marilla; 2 great-grandchildren, Aiden Weiss and Arianna Weiss; her siblings, Bob Slade, Beverly Miller, Maxine, Mary Pinchock, Dan Slade and Melvin Slade and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Swanson, and her in-laws, Bob Taylor, Dave Taylor, Melvin Taylor, Dan Taylor, Judy Taylor and Jocelyn Taylor. At Shirley’s request, no services are being scheduled. Arrangments are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
