Obituary of Nicholas H. Green

Nicholas Harold Green, affectionately known as Nick, embarked on his final adventure on April 12, 2024, in Olean, New York, at the youthful age of 31. Born in Springville, NY, on April 21, 1992, he lived a life that was nothing short of a joyous melody. With a laugh that could stop traffic and eyes you could get lost in, Nick was the epitome of a free spirit whose love for life was as vast as the outdoors he adored. He shared his heart with animals and his tune with the world. Nick's educational journey ended with his graduation from Olean High School BOCES program. His hobbies included cheering on his favorite sports teams, even if that meant "listening" to the games while napping in a cozy chair. People watching, anything outdoor related, car rides, and spending time with people that loved him. He leaves behind a fan club of loved ones: grandmother Anna Green; brother Alexander (Elida) Green; sister Kathleen (Jarid) Lowe; and a trio of adoring nieces; Lennox, Brianna, Lynelle and a nephew; Odin, who will carry on his legacy of laughter. Nick was predeceased by: grandparents Richard & Joan Chute and Albert Green. Along with his special friend, Ms. Beth Hirliman. Nick's encore will be a private service held by those who knew him best, with a Celebration of Life that will be the talk of the town at a later date. If you wish, you can make a donation in Nick's name to The Friends of The Pines, where Nick's spirit will continue to be remembered. The Pines took such gentle care of Nick, and his family will forever be grateful for them. Nick's funeral will be conducted by Casey Halwig & Hartle in Olean, NY. In the great concert of life, Nick's solo may have ended, but his melody lingers on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of being part of his audience. Nick—Your love will live on forever.
