Obituary of Robert E. Malone

Elmira, NY- Robert E. Malone, 84, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (February 29, 2024) at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Born December 9, 1939, in Elkland, PA he was the son of William and Lillie B. Norris Malone. Mr. Malone was a graduate of Elkland High School. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching westerns and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his children Carmem (Kevin) Moseley of Binghamton, Sharon (Johnny) Hall of Olean, Wendy Clemons of Olean, Robert (Rita) Malone of Olean, Tyrone ( Jessica) Malone of Olean, Nina Malone ,Rosemary Malone-Rodriguez, Courtney Malone all of Elmira; his stepchildren Charles (Melody) Blake, Frank (Jim Holdsworth) Blake, Jonathan Blake all of Elmira; his siblings George Malone and Ester Malone; a longtime companion Essie Wesley; special friends Robert Williams, Bobby Mayne and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; maternal aunt Corrie Peterson; sister Ernestine Malone, wife Maryanne Malone and 1 granddaughter Brittany Malone. Friends will be received on Friday (March 8, 2024) from 11am to 1pm at the Mt Zion Christian Assembly, 321 Front Street, Olean. A funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Casey, Halwig, and Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
