Please share a memory of Phillip to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Phillip E. Brenneman, age 73, of Olean, passed away Friday (April 7, 2023) at Buffalo General Hospital following a brief illness. (stroke)
Phillip was born July 5, 1949 in Olean, to the late Merle J and Nancy (Jones) Brenneman. Phillip attended school in Shinglehouse, PA. He was then employed at the SubCon Workshop in Olean for the majority of his adult life and upon retirement he attended the Adult Life Skills program.
Phillip developed a love for listening to music from the time he was a child. Unable to read, he would listen to the radio and memorize the announcer's telling who was the singer, musicians and the back-up singers. He loved Elvis and attended 2 of his concerts in person and he visited his Memphis home several times and collected Elvis memorabilia.
Phillip was a kind and gentle soul. He loved being with family, especially his dad and his brother, Ken, who were his 2 best friends. He had quite a sense of humor and loved to play jokes on his family members and could tell stories that would make everyone laugh. One of his favorite activities were family reunions and gatherings.
Phillip is survived by his brothers Kenneth (Donna) Brenneman, and Steve (Sharla) Brenneman and his sister, Peggy Weatherell, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Mt Zion Church, 321 Front Street, Olean, on Friday April 14, 2023 at 11 am. Curt MacDonald will be the officiant. A luncheon will follow.
The family can not thank enough the staff of Intandem for their years of care, and Olean General Hospital and Buffalo General Hospital for all of their care and kindness towards Phil.
