James F. Grandusky
Allegany, NY James F. Grandusky, Jr., 85, of 3405 N. 7th St., passed away Monday (November 28, 2022) in Myrtle Beach, SC where he had been visiting his friend Meehan Emory.
Born July 28, 1937 in Olean, he was one of 18 children born to James F. and Margaret Kathryn Cleaver Grandusky.
Jim received a degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta in 1960. He spent many years working as an engineer, a better part of that career being for Dresser Clark Co. in Olean.
He was a model aircraft enthusiast and enjoyed assembling and flying scale models. He was an avid cat lover and he enjoyed feeding and caring for them. More recently he like to travel to Arizona and South Carolina to visit his friend Meehan Emory.
He is survived by 13 brothers and sisters, Edward (Denise) Grandusky of Almond, Stephen (Yvonne) Grandusky of Allegany, Michael (Michelle) Grandusky of The Villages, FL, David (Addie) Grandusky of Las Vegas, NV, Kay Ramage of Denver, CO, Karen Carney of Lakewood, NJ, Linda (Charles) Oprian of Macomb, IL, Mary (Steve) Kaye of Daytona Beach, FL, Jane (Charles) Woodrum of Freemont, CA, Eleana Grandusky of Sarasota, FL, Theresa (Bruce) Noto of Harleysville, PA, Christine (Dale) Amore of Aurora, UT and Tamara (Frank) Grandusky of San Francisco, CA; several nieces and nephews, and 2 sisters-in-law Angie Grandusky and Adela Grandusky.
He was predeceased by a sister Deborah Grandusky; 3 brothers Robert Grandusky, John Grandusky and Gary Grandusky, and 2 brothers-in-law Wayne Ramage and Tom Carney.
A Celebration of Life service is being planned by the family for a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home.
