Salamanca, NY-- Clarence F. Hannah, formerly of The Hillview Manor, recently of The Pines in Olean died Sunday (April 25, 2004) in the Olean General Hospital.
Born January 21, 1914 in Salamanca, NY he was the son of Fred and Agnes Hannah. He was married to the former Helen Mungillo who predeceased him in November of 1993.
Mr. Hannah was a lifelong resident of Salamanca and worked for the Erie Railroad for many years. He also worked for King’s Windows in Little Valley prior to his retirement.
He formerly attended Holy Cross Church in Salamanca and he enjoyed volunteering at the Salamanca Rail Museum. He also enjoyed attending the circus. In his earlier years he loved playing the tuba in the town band of Salamanca.
Surviving are one daughter Mary Ann Foster of Olean and one granddaughter Betsy Hannah of Olean.
He was predeceased by one brother Howard Hannah.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Wednesday (April 28, 2004) from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 6:00pm. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Salamanca. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Catholic Charities 284 Broad St. Salamanca, NY 14779.
