Charlotte P. Sniezak, died peacefully Saturday morning (March 12, 2022) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. She had been a resident there for 3 years.
Born June 22, 1931, in Buffalo she was the daughter of Martin and Stefania Antoinette Cisz Grabijas. On August 20, 1955, she married Donald J. Sniezak who predeceased her in 1997.
Charlotte retired as a nurse's aide for the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home in Machias where she had worked the night shift for 23 years.
A former long-time resident of West Valley, NY she attended St. John the Baptist Church. She was a resident of Olean, NY where she was a member of the former Transfiguration Church in Olean and was most recently a member of St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany. Since her retirement she enjoyed volunteering for Olean Homecare and Hospice, the Quick Arts Center and the Olean Community Theatre. She also was active with the Sixty-Plus of Allegany as well as the Red Hat Society. She loved reading, and enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and swimming at the YMCA.
Surviving is her sister, Ann (Jack) Heltman of Arcade; 7 children; Donald (Carol) Sniezak, Jr. of Orchard Park, Michael Sniezak of Alvin, TX, Stephen Sniezak of Alvin, TX, Patricia (Jeff) Felker of Charleston, SC, Barbara (Michael) Russell of Belleair Bluffs, FL, Joan (David) Haynes of Olean and Larry (Candi) Sniezak of Milwaukie, OR; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-6 p.m. at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A prayer service will be held Saturday (March 19, 2022) at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11a.m. in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St John the Baptist Cemetery in West Valley. Internment at the cemetery will be at a later date.
