Obituary of Roberta Donaldson

Roberta Brooks Donaldson Salamanca, NY Roberta Brooks Donaldson, 48, of 101 Atlantic St., passed away Saturday (July 31, 2021) at her home, surrounded by her husband and family. Born March 31, 1973 in Jamestown, she was the daughter of Kerry Brooks and Marjorie Sullivan Goodwill. She was married to Darryl D. Donaldson who survives. Roberta was raised in Salamanca and at one time was a junior member of the Salamanca Fire Department. She was an avid outdoorswoman for her whole life and loved hunting, fishing and kayaking. She also enjoyed playing softball and being around horses. Additionally she was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan and she enjoyed all kinds of music. Most important to her was raising her family and being Grandma to her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Darryl, she is survived by her mother of Salamanca; 2 daughters Debra Coban (Zach) Arnold and Heather (Darrien) Donaldson Hall both of Salamanca; 1 son Andrew D. Brooks of Salamanca; 1 stepson Brian C. (Lizzy) Donaldson of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters David Brooks of Salamanca, Tammy (Leonard) Hayes of North Carolina, Phillip “Tucker” Goodwill, Sr. of Salamanca and Nellie Goodwill of Humphrey and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father Kerry Brooks and her aunt Marie “Punky” Sullivan Calkins. Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday (August 3, 2021) from 6-8pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A funeral service will follow visitation at 8pm in the funeral home. Rev. Eric Hice of Salamanca will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
