GERALDINE R. McCABE
ALLEGANY – Geraldine R. !McCabe, 58, of Pumpkin Hollow Rd. died Saturday May 29, 2004 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Centerport, PA on October 16, 1945 she was a daughter of Lester D. and Theodora E. Shappell Miller. She married Phil !McCabe who survives.
Mrs. !McCabe graduated from Villanova University with a Masters in Human Services. She devoted her working career to helping others, particularly children.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter Shelley Crouthamel of Telford, PA; her mother Theodora Miller of Berks Heim in Reading, PA; two sisters, Darlene Dondore of Leesport, PA and Doris Kelly of Sinking Spring, PA; a nephew Glenn Kelly of Sinking Spring, PA and a niece Kristin Marks of Wernersville, PA
Friends will be received on Wednesday June 2, 2004 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd. from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at which time a memorial service will be conducted. Rev. David Johnson, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice or to Headstart of Allegany County.
