Obituary of Delores M. Pavel

Olean, NY Delores M. Pavel, recently of Aspen Tower, passed into the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday (April 30, 2020) at Cuba Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, where she had resided for the past 8 months. Born September 28, 1926 in Olean she was the daughter of Richard and Genevieve Ash Dwaileebe. On September 11, 1948 in Olean she married Edward Pavel who predeceased her September 1, 1976. Delores worked as an accountant at the former Marra Bros. until her retirement. Her joy was in entertaining her children and grandchildren at her former home on Irving Street in Olean. Surviving are 2 daughters Suzanne (Gregory) Pfaff of Kent, NY and Agnes Pavel of Brockport; 3 sons Edward Pavel of Lynchburg, VA, Paul (Dinah) Pavel of Conesus and George (Faye) Pavel of Centerville, TN; 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Angela, Jeremiah, Sarah, Jonathan and Emily; 1 great grandson Caine; 1 brother Richard Dwaileebe of Olean and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son David Pavel in 1971. Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, a private burial ceremony will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Olean.
