Obituary of Thomas R. Lee

Thomas R. Lee

Houghton, NY      Thomas R. Lee, 60, recently of The Absolut of Houghton, formerly of Rochester entered into his eternal home on Friday (November 1, 2019).
 
Born on July 31, 1959, in Rochester, he was the son of Thomas Rafoth and Lea Carrol Smith Lee.
 
Mr. Lee was a graduate of Madison High School in Rochester and in 1978 he enlisted in the U.S Coast Guard.
 
Thomas possessed an artistic talent that he expressed through drawing, as well as by writing poetry and short stories.  He also possessed an inner strength that enabled him to successfully manage and live independently with his mental illness for over 40 years, until the recent onset of his physical ailments.
 
Surviving in addition to his mother, Lea C. Smith Lee Nicholls of Beverly Hill, FL, are 8 siblings, Lori (Mark) White of Rochester, Timothy Lee of Beverly Hills, FL, Scott (Dawn) Lee of Deltona, FL, Lisa Olivieri of Walworth, James Lee of Beverly Hills, FL, Thomas (Kathy) Nicholls of Kent Stores, VA, David Nicholls of Rochester, and Tammy (Terry "Skip") Hodge of Kendall, NY and several nieces and nephews.
 
He predeceased by his father Thomas Lee and his stepfather, Richard Nicholls.

A celebration of Tom's life will be held on November 11, 2019 at 7pm at Cornerstone Bible Chapel, 3231 Buffalo Road, Rochester NY 14624.
