Louis Itier

Olean, NY Louis Itier, of 1951 W. Fall Rd. passed away peacefully Saturday (September 29, 2018) at the Olean General Hospital.

Born May 1, 1933 in Puerto Rico he was the son of Sophie Vincenty Itier.

Louis moved to this area from Long Island in 1987 and had been a resident of various ReHabilitation Center houses over the years. He brought a smile to so many as he enjoyed coloring pictures for everyone, and dancing and listening to music. He worked for a number of years for SubCon Industries in Olean and more recently was a regular attendee at the DayHab program.

While there are no immediate family members that survive, he leaves behind a host of friends, fellow residents and staff, especially his close friend and advocate Joan Sauter of Olean.

Friends may call on Friday (October 5, 2018) from 10am until 11am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A funeral service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow in Allegany Cemetery.
