Loving mother and grandmother

LANDENBERG, PA – Lucy J. Padden, formerly of Allegany, passed away Wednesday (May 30, 2018) at Neighborhood Health Hospice in West Chester, PA.
Born November 15, 1940, in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Victoria Sal McGraw.  On April 4, 1964, at St. John’s Church in Olean, she married Jim Padden, who predeceased her August 28, 2008.
Lucy was a graduate of Olean High School class of 1958.  She was primarily employed as a secretary at Cooper Power Systems for 25 years, retiring in 2003.
She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Pulaski Club Ladies Auxiliary, YMCA, Red Hats and Sixty Plus.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, especially to see her family in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Surviving are two loving daughters;  Sharon (Joe) Senall of Newark, DE,  and Sheila (Tom) Kappelmeier of Landenberg, PA;  five wonderful grandchildren, Erin Senall, Ryan Senall, Ali Kappelmeier, Drew Kappelmeier, Lydia Kappelmeier, two sisters, Patty (Tony)  Kosinski and Diane (Chuck) Walters, both of Olean and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends at St. Bonaventure Church on Friday (June 8, 2018)  from 9:30am until 10:30am.  A memorial mass will immediately follow at 10:30am.  Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.  All are welcome to a reception which will begin at 1pm at the Pulaski Club in Olean.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
Memorials may be made to St. Bonaventure Church, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
