Sandra K. Tasillo
Allegany, NY Sandra K. Tasillo of Allegany passed away Thursday (November 9, 2017) at The Pines of Olean after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born February 17, 1942 in Coudersport, PA she was the daughter of Paul V. and Kathryn Bucheit Tasillo.
Sandra graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in St. Mary's, PA and from St. Francis School of Nursing in Olean where she received her LPN. She received her R.N. from Jamestown Community College.
She worked at the former St. Francis Hospital, Olean General Hospital, Bradford Manor, and was a Supervisor at The Pines in Olean prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her sister Felecia Tasillo Potter of Coudersport, PA; nephews Paul James Potter of Coudersport, PA and Michael Parsons of Bluffton, IN; a niece Lisa Tasillo Mitchell of Picayune, MS; great nieces and great nephews and a forever friend and caregiver Helen Trainor of Allegany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Dominic Tasillo and a niece Amy Tasillo.
A Celebration Mass was held today (Friday November 10, 2017) at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, pastor, was the celebrant. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
