Obituary of Peggy M. Foster

Allegany- Peggy M. Foster, of 3775 S. Nine Mile Road, Allegany, passed away Tuesday (February 28, 2017) at the Buffalo General Hospital, with her family by her side. Born June 28, 1935 in Alma, she was the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy Oliver Schram. She married Eugene F. Foster on September 24, 1955, He predeceased her on November 15, 1993. Mrs. Foster was the valedictorian of her graduating class from Allentown School. She was a wonderful homemaker who will be remembered for raising and caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a sports fanatic and loved watching the NY Yankees, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and St. Bonaventure Bonnies play. She also enjoyed playing euchre and bingo. Surviving are seven children Toni (Russell) Harrison of Great Valley, Kevin (Rosemary) Foster of Salamanca, Robert “Jim” (Renae) Foster of Bradford, PA, Craig (Sandi) Foster of Box Springs, GA, Scott (Jacqueline) Foster of Dunkirk, Randy (Terri) Foster of Salamanca, Tina M. (David) Kester of Boston, NY; thirty-one grandchildren; forty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother Eugene Schram of Allentown, NY; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one sister Donna Callighan. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Friday (March 3, 2017) from 12-2pm at which time funeral services will begin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA in Cattaraugus County, 2944 Olean-Hinsdale Road, Olean NY, 14760.
