Olean- Sally A. Springstead of 1749 Gargoyle Road, passed away unexpectedly Saturday (July 2, 2016) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born May 28, 1952 in Olean, she was the daughter of William and Alice Blake Fye. She married Elvin Springstead, who survives.
Mrs. Springstead was a devoted housewife, who loved crocheting, crafts, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are four children Tammy (Tom) VanEtten of Hinsdale, William Fye of Olean, Dean (Casey Williams) Springstead of Olean, Chad Springstead of Olean; 6 grandchildren; 3 brothers; and her best friend, her dog Blue.
The family will receive friends on Thursday (July 7, 2016) from 11am to 1pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Services will begin at 1pm in the funeral home.
