Obituary of Juanita G. McGranaghan

Olean- Juanita G. McGranaghan of 313 Tompkins Street, died Wednesday (July 29, 2015) shortly upon arrival at the Olean General Hospital. Born August 7, 1929 in Republic, PA, she was the daughter of Calvin and Mary Lyons Stratton. Mrs. McGranaghan was a graduate of Redstone High School. She worked for many years at the Allegany Central Schools as a custodian. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting and playing card games with family and friends. Mrs. McGranaghan was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church in Olean. Surviving are eight children Laura (Richard) Mansour, Carol (Jack) Babb, Hugh (Linda) McGranaghan, Edmund (Ann) McGranaghan, Daniel (Colleen) McGranaghan, Nancy (C.Bruce) Taylor, Gene (Vivian) McGranagahan and Timothy McGranaghan; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister Opal Wright; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband Hugh E. McGranaghan; and three brothers Calvin, Roy and James Stratton. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday (July 31, 2015) at 7pm at the United Pentecostal Church, 1100 Homer Street, Olean. Rev. Steven Beattie, will officiate. Burial will be in Acklin Cemetery in Brownsville, PA. Memorials if desired may be made to the American Cancer Society.
