EUGENE P. MELANSON
OLEAN – Eugene P. Melanson of Osgood Avenue died Saturday November 27, 2004 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in Queens, NY on February 5, 1936 he was the son of Joseph and Gertrude Melanson.
Eugene moved to Olean in 1987. He attended the Life Skills program and the Continuing Day Treatment program through the !ReHabilitation Center. Mr. Melanson was semi retired at the time of his death. He enjoyed watching old movies and musicals and was an avid Yankees fan. There are no surviving relatives.
Friends will be received on Monday November 29, 2004 from 7-8 PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday (Nov. 30) at 11:00 AM. Msgr. William O. Wangler, pastor of St. John's Church will officiate. Burial and committal services will follow at Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, NY. Memorials may be made to the !ReHabilitation Center, 1439 Buffalo Street, Olean, NY 14760
