Obituary of Jon E. Eaton

Jon E. Eaton Clearwater, FL Jon E. Eaton, an Allegany native and resident of Clearwater, passed away Friday (May 1, 2015) at his residence after a long illness. Born July 5, 1953 in Olean he was the son of Clayton E. and Kathleen M. "Kassie" Nenno Eaton. Jon was a graduate of Allegany High School where he excelled at sports and later graduated from Alfred State University. During his younger years he worked at the family-owned Eaton Dairy in Allegany. He lived most of his life in Minnesota and Wisconsin although he began as a plant manager for Jones Chemical Co. near New York City until being transferred to Minneapolis and working for Hawkins Chemical Co. He continued as a plant manager for many years until his retirement due to illness. He then moved to Clearwater and has resided there since his retirement. He is survived by his beloved Patti Eaton of Clearwater who was also his longtime caregiver; 2 daughters Jane Eaton of Tampa, FL and Penny (Brad) Vier of Woodbury, MN; 1 sister Suzanne (Joseph) Gaughn of Allegany; 3 brothers Thomas (Louise) Eaton of Suwannee, GA, Craig Eaton of Rochester and Clayton Eaton of Allegany; an aunt Rita Eaton of Allegany and several nieces, nephews and cousins. No formal services are scheduled. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
