Obituary of Rose Kwiatkowski

Rose Kwiatkowski "Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother" Olean, NY Rose Kwiatkowski, 88, passed away peacefully and lovingly embraced by her children Friday (February 13, 2015) at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. She was raised up to her heavenly Father to join the choir of angels. Born November 18, 1926 in Olean she was the daughter of John and Nellie Pushkar Pancio. Mrs. Kwiatkowski was a graduate of Olean High School and was a lifelong resident of Olean. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed the duties of a full-time Mom. The sight of a beautiful blue sky with white fluffy cloud formations was a joy for her to behold and share with her family. She was a member of St. John's Church and its Altar and Rosary Society as well as its former Legion of Mary. She was formerly an active volunteer with the St. John's Parochial School. She was an excellent embroiderer and enjoyed baking, cooking and playing bingo. She also liked the music of the 1940's and she especially enjoyed flower gardening at home. Surviving are 5 children Karen (Jack) Trietley of Olean, Sharon (Bill) Aloi of Liverpool, Elaine Kwiatkowski of Olean, David Kwiatkowski of Bath and Audrey Sandore of Fayetteville, AR; 8 grandchildren Steve Dorothy, Todd (Diane) Dorothy, Rose Dorothy, Lauren Sandore, Jillian (Jaron) Lassen, D.J. Kwiatkowski, Michelle Wiggins and Katie Kwiatkowski; 4 great grandchildren Colin Dorothy, Erin Dorothy, Kaura Wiggins and Nora Lassen and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters Paul Pancio, Helen Scott, Eva Plano, Theresa Moszak, Ann Bush, Peter Pancio, Andrew Pancio, Frank Pancio, infant Paul Pancio, Catherine Pancio and Mary Piechota. Friends and family are welcome to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated Thursday (February 19, 2015) at 1:00pm at St. John's Church in Olean. Rev. Edward Sheedy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Zeal Mission Society, 115 E. Main St. Allegany, NY 14706. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
