Obituary of Janet Lippert

Allegany- Janet A. Lippert, of 202 N. 2nd Street, passed away Thursday (January 22, 2015) at the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean, after a lengthy illness. Born September 15, 1934 in Bradford,PA she was the daughter of Roy and Winifred Kelly Reck. On August 28, 1971 at St. Bonaventure Church she married James Lippert who survives. Mrs. Lippert was a graduate of Bradford High School and Villa Maria College in Erie, PA. She worked her entire career at St. Bonaventure University as a librarian. Mrs. Lippert was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and enjoyed reading and gardening. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter Tracy (Gerald) Shamray of Cleveland, OH; one sister Gail O'Brien of Camphill, PA; one niece and one nephew. There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday (January 26, 2015) at 9:30am at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to the American Diabetes Association 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102, Amherst, NY 14226. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
