Obituary of John Frank Cole

John Frank Cole, Sr. Olean, NY-- John Frank Cole, Sr. of 131 ½ N. 3rd St. died Wednesday (December 29, 2004) in his home. Born July 23, 1945 in Olean, NY he was the son of Gaylord J. and Marian Cole. He was first married to Mary Skinner, then later was married to Marlene A. Pierce. Marlene predeceased him December 19, 2000. Mr. Cole was a resident of Olean all of his life and had worked at R & R Mobile Homes in Hinsdale until 1992. He later worked for the Castle Restaurant, retiring due to disability. He enjoyed bike riding and will be remembered as a person who enjoyed helping others. Surviving are 3 sons Frank Cole of Olean, Don Cole of Salamanca and John (Susan) Cole, Jr. of Olean; 1 grandson; 1 sister Patty Baker and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday (January 3, 2005) from 10:00am until noon. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Rev. Gerald Slack, pastor of Sacred Temple Church of God in Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the SPCA or to the Warming House.
