Dana L. Rickey
Olean, NY Dana L. Rickey of W. Henley St. passed away unexpectedly Saturday (May 31, 2014).
Born December 9, 1971 in Olean he was the son of August C. Rickey and Judith Luntz Smith.
He was a 1990 graduate of Hinsdale Central School and served with the US Army from 1990 to 1991. He was a semi-truck driver for several companies, most recently for Schuster Trucking Co. in Iowa. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed riding in the Kingsmen Motorcycle Club.
Surviving are 2 brothers James (Annette) Rickey of Olean and Curtis (Pearl) Rickey of Ischua; 1 sister Linda (James) Medders of Trussville, AL; a half sister Rose Nettles of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State St. Olean on Sunday (June 8, 2014) from noon to 2pm at which time funeral and committal services will be held. Rev. Chuck Maine, pastor of Epic Church in Olean, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
