Sharon Elizabeth Pauly
Olean, NY Sharon Elizabeth Pauly of Olean passed away peacefully Thursday (April 3, 2014) surrounded by the loving comfort of her family.
Born August 18, 1957 in Olean she was the daughter of Kenneth F. and Rita Allram McGee.
Sharon was a 1975 graduate of Olean High School. She later graduated from Jamestown Community College with an Associates Degree in Social Sciences. She worked for the ReHabilitation Center for several years, retiring due to ill health.
She was passionate about music and enjoyed attending musical events. She shared her love of music with her family and friends through the gifts of personalized CD's. She also enjoyed loving her two "Grandpugs" Leelo and Sage, enjoyed the outdoors and walking, traveling, trips to the casino, and playing cards, especially pinochle.
Surviving besides her mother of Olean are 2 daughters Rachelle (Craig) Ryan and Nicole (Greg) Lewis; their father Ralph "RJ" Pauly; 3 sisters Kathleen (Rick) Howard and Patricia (Howard) Richardson, both of Olean and her twin sister Sandra Abdo of Rochester; 5 nieces and nephews Tania Ziolkowski, Derek Howard, Erin (Keith) Batten and Raymond and Lucien Kibodeaux.
She was predeceased by her father and a brother-in-law William Abdo.
Friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A memorial service will be held Monday (April 7, 2014) at 1:30pm in the funeral home. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Sharon was dedicated to helping others as a volunteer with the Olean Area Multiple Sclerosis Better Days Support Group. Donations in her memory may be directed to this group C/O National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1650 South Ave. Suite 100, Rochester, NY 14620 or wwwnationalmssociety.org.
