Obituary of Richard Woods

Richard L. Woods, Sr. Eldred, PA Richard L. Woods, Sr. of 447 Windfall Rd. died unexpectedly Saturday (March 22, 2014) in his home. Born December 26, 1941 in Niagara Falls he was the son of the late Ferman and Rose Butler Woods. He was formerly married to Annabell Stahlman Woods and later to Cheryl Chapman. Mr. Woods attended Olean High School and had owned and operated several businesses in Olean. The center of his life was his family and he treasured his children and grandchildren. Surviving are 4 children Susan (Charles) Pauley of Eldred, PA, Richard (Deborah) Woods, Jr. of Eldred, PA, Leigh Ann (Ed) Willover of Portville and Cheryl (Mark) Childs of Portville; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother and 4 sisters Luella (Orren) Brace of Olean, Betty George of Shinglehouse, PA, Rose Hall of Olean, Darlene (Walt) Wojewoda of Olean and David (Lori) Woods of Skiatook, OK and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Daniel J. Woods; a grandson Duane "Dewey" Willover; a great grandson; 3 brothers Laverne Woods, Robert Woods and Leon Woods and 2 sisters Patricia Schneider and Jacquelyn Marowski. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Thursday (March 27, 2014) at 1:00pm at the Olean Revival Center, 13th and Washington Streets, Olean. Rev. Ron Fraizer, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot at Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
