Very sad day for me...good friend and wonderful neighbor has gone to help the Angels with their gardening and keep their flowers beautiful. ..Thank you Gordy AKA "tree fort "for all the wonderful memories you brought into mine, Falyns and just everyone you touched in life...We love you Gordy. You will be so missed....Now, go and put smiles on all their faces in heaven because we all know where you are now. No more pain my very special friend. See you again some day and save a big hug for me....Love u...Lisa.

I had the opportunity to meet Gordie back in 2004. I can say he definitley had a immediate impact on me. He was out going and funny as all heck. I would speak to him several times a week sometimes several times a day. We always joked around about everything under the sun. I will miss these calls and funny text messages. I am glad I had met this awesome guy. I will miss him. I just wish I had called him on Saturday to talk about our bets for the football games on Sunday. God speed Gordie. Gordie would say we bet on some crazy stuff I would go along with him. God speed and rest in peace Gordie. You will be missed

I meet Gordie while he was living and working in Philadelphia. We came to know each other while I was renovating and building my current residence. We soon became good friends and I really enjoyed working and spending time with him. He was hard worker and had hands of gold. He shared many great stories about his life and experiences. He often talked about his son's and was quite proud of them. After he moved away, we still continued to keep in touch and call each other. He was telling me that he was planning to come back to Philadelphia and pay me a visit. I will truly miss him.

Gordie will be remembered by my children (Carolyn , age 12 and Zackery, age 10) as the man who gamve them popsicles in the sommertime. He was a very friendly and polite neighbor that we were priveleged to know. We send our considerable sorrow to the family and friends for their loss and his untimely death. Rest in Peace, Gordi. [I apologize for my spelling e errores, but for some odd reason I cannot backspce or delete when my fingers don't cooperate!]

Rest in peace Gordie, your suffering is over. My condolences to Gordies biological family and to Dennis, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Robby who became his Allegany family. May the treehouse he built for the boys be a lasting memorial to Gordie. I know you miss him sorely.

Gordie was a kind man who always had a treat for our dog whenever we walked by. He helped with some odd jobs at our home and was always friendly, kind and very personable. To the LaFaye family, we are sorry for your loss.

Add a message to the Guest Book Add a message to the Guest Book Imagine. As we gaze into the infinite sky from inside of that majestic treehouse created by your own hands and all that you envisioned….we will remember you. “In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night and there is sweetness in the laughter of all the stars and in the memories of those you love”. ~The Little Prince / Antoine de Saint-Exupery Thank you for your countless kindnesses and the gifts you left so many.
