Obituary of Bradley Brockel

Bradley J. Brockel Spring Hill, FL Bradley J. Brockel, 65, a former resident of Portville and Olean native, passed away Friday (January 10, 2014) due to complications from a recent heart attack. Born October 3, 1948 in Olean he was the son of Clarence and Janice Ferrio Brockel. Bradley was a graduate of Olean High School and was a US Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War for three years. He had been employed for Cooper Industries in Olean and had resided in Portville most of those years. Upon retirement he moved to Spring Hill, FL to be closer to his son. Family and friends will remember him as an avid car enthusiast who enjoyed drag racing and spending time working on car bodies and engines. Surviving are his mother of Olean; a son Kelly (Christine) Brockel of Spring Hill; 2 brothers Paul (Mary Jo) Brockel of Allegany and Jeff (Joanne) Brockel of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters Lynn (David) Nolder of Allegany and Leigh Ann (Michael) Wesley of Olean; several nieces and nephews and a longtime friend Roberta Blanchard of Olean. He was predeceased by his father and a brother Ronald Brockel. Visitation will be today (Tuesday) at the Brewer and Sons Funeral Home in Spring Hill followed by a burial service Wednesday (January 15, 2014) at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
