Carol Witherell
Olean, NY Carol Witherell, recently of The Absolut of Salamanca and a lifelong resident of the Olean area passed away Saturday (October 19, 2013) at Olean General Hospital.
Born January 12, 1951 in Olean she was the daughter of Leslie and Catherine Witherell.
Carol was a 1970 graduate of Portville Central School and attended business classes in Buffalo and at Olean Business Institute. She enjoyed her circle of friends over the years as well as reading and listening to rock and roll music, especially the Beatles.
She is survived by two brothers Edward Witherell of Portville and William Witherell of Eldred, PA; a stepbrother Michael Johnson; a nephew and several friends.
Friends may call at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Wednesday (October 23, 2013) from 11:00am until noon at which time funeral and committal services will be held. Rev. David Outman, a friend to Carol, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
