Obituary of Allen Kibby

Allen L. Kibby Olean, NY Allen L. Kibby of 121 N. 17th Street passed away Sunday (May 26, 2013) in his home under the loving care of his family. Born October 20, 1938 in Bradford, PA he was the son of Elton L. and Josephine Conable Kibby. On September 20, 1958 at St. Bernard's Church in Bradford, PA he was married by Fr. Edward Zetler to Bonnie A. Myers who survives. Mr. Kibby was raised in Bradford and had resided in Olean for the past forty six years. He was employed for thirty four years for Stroehmann Bros. Bakery in Olean where he was an account executive. He took great pleasure in his job and he especially enjoyed the friendships he made with the various businesses he served in the Olean and surrounding areas. He retired in 2004. He took great pride in maintaining his home and raising his family and also had a great love for animals. Surviving besides his wife are three daughters Kimberley (Edward) Flicker of Cuba, Robin (Jerry) Harrington of Wellsville and Colleen (Randolph) Price of Olean; one son David Kibby of Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren Jeff (Stacy) Flicker, Tom (Ashley) Flicker, David Kibby, Mallory Kibby, Rebecca Kibby, Kristen Jedrosko and Anna (Josh) Shutt; three great grandchildren Halle, Rowan and Cheyenne; two brothers and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (May 29, 2013) at noon at the funeral home. Rev. James Vacco, OFM will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
