Obituary of Wendy Bourgeois

Hinsdale- Wendy H. Bourgeois of 1111 Sherlock Hollow Road, passed away Monday (January 15, 2013) at her son&amp;#39;s home in Amherst after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born February 20, 1944 in Pittsfield MA, she was the daughter of Donald and Edna Wells Hall. Wendy received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in education and then received her Masters Degree in social work. She worked for sixteen years as Commissioner of the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services. Surviving are four children Donald (Ann) Boyd of Williamsville, Tania (David) Blow of Queensbury, Diana (Mark) DeNitto of Wolfeboro, NH and Renee Beebe of Corvallis, MT; seven grandchildren; two sisters Carol (Mark) Hall- Jordan of Lanesboro, MA and Nancy (David) Armstrong of Verona, VA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Thursday (January 17, 2013) from 3-6pm. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center of Hospice and Palliative Care in Buffalo 225 Como Park Boulevard, Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
