Obituary of Nancy Richard

Allegany- Nancy A. Richard, formerly of 1885 Willard Street, passed away Thursday (October 25, 2012) at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean, after a lengthy illness. Born June 15, 1941 in Fayetteville, NY she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret Hand. Mrs. Richard received an Associates degree from SUNY Morrisville. She had worked for Alle-Catt Asphalt, H & R Block and Southern Tier Reality. She was an avid tennis and golf player, she enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Bartlett Country Club. Surviving are two sons Timothy Richard of Allegany, Doug Richard of Raleigh NC, two grandsons Bryant Richard of Allegany and Nicholas Richard; one great-granddaughter Allyanna; and two nieces. She was predeceased by her brother Albert Hand. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Street Olean, on Friday from 6-8pm and Saturday (October 27, 2012) from 9-10am at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. James Vacco, pastor at St. Bonaventure Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to The Pines Resident Counsel, 2245 W. State Street, Olean or to a charity of the donors choice.
