Skip was one of a kind- caring, witty, nurturing, blunt, humorous, and kind. She was a loyal and trusted friend of Mom's for so many years. So very sorry for all of you on this tremendous loss.

My deepest condolances to the large family & friends. I have many wonderful childhood memories of Skip, from my numerous excursions to Leo's, family gatherings in Allegany, playing kickball in her back yard, etc. Skip: you were a treasure & will not be forgotten.

Skip was such a loyal friend to our mother and father as well. They adored her and so did I. I so enjoyed when my mother and I would visit her. We would laugh, and laugh, and laugh. Perhaps that's just what they're doing now....laughing together again. My deepest sympathy to all of you. To live in hearts that love is not to die..

Allegany has lost a spirited lady who played a large role in everyone's life. From her days at Leo's...where we bought our 5 cents worth of penny candy and popsicles, to the little playhouse in the back yard, she was always enthusiastic about our lives. She drove us to Buffalo many times, and I always enjoyed her adult conversation with my Mother in the front seat. She always had a story up her sleeve and a laugh to go with it. "Aunt Skippy" was a natural part of growing up in Allegany. If it weren't for her opening her house to me during Regents week in 1975, I may not have passed them.Because of her and her girls, I found out about D'Youville College, I place I revere even now. And when Aunt Skippy read parts of the Liturgy up at camp, I always listened. Her voice brought back the nostalgia of growing up in Allegany. I am happy that Suzy, Peggy, and Barbara had their mother for so long. What a journey it must have been. My condolences to all.

Skip, When I was a young boy growing up in Allegany, I enjoyed all of the happiness and joy you shared with us as I purchased my Mom’s groceries in Leo’s supermarket and delivered your newspaper. It was always fun to see you and whenever I went into Leo’s I’d always hoped you’d be working there. You were always happy and upbeat and whatever you had to say made my day. You will be missed, but I will never forget you. You are and continue to be one of my childhood memories that I will always treasure. My condolences to your family and loved ones. May you rest in eternal peace and happiness
