Obituary of Joseph Wagner

Olean- Joseph E. Wagner of 806 S. Union Street, passed away Sunday (August 28, 2012) unexpectedly at the Olean General Hospital.
Born November 28, 1943 in Kane, PA, he was the son of Wallace C. and Valerie Ball Wagner, Sr.
He was a graduate of Bradford High School and was employed for Dresser Rand for 43 years, retiring in 2006.
Mr. Wagner was a 20 year member of the Olean Fraternal Order of Eagles #616. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, sightseeing and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his long time companion of 34 years "His Better Half" Rennette "Cathy" Bedard, four children Adrien Wagner of Erie, PA, Christopher (Samantha) Wagner of Wellsville, Matthew David (Menchie Estares) Wagner of Olean, Bethany Wagner of Bradford, PA; three step-children Grace R. (William) Fitch of CA, Roger H. (Valetta) Bedard, Jr. of Hinsdale, Maywood R. Bedard of Allegany; 7 grandchildren Kyle Wagner, Amanda Wagner, Caitlin Thobe, Kristyna Fitch, Nichole Fitch, Shane Bedard, Paul Estares; two brothers-in-law Rudy (Arvella) Rossignol of Riverside, CA, Russell (Phyllis) Rossignol of Olean; sister-in-law Ruth (Pete) Vaughn of Olean; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Wallace Wagner, Jr., and a sister Marcia Peterson Wallin.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road on Friday (August 31, 2012) from 11-1:30pm at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean.
