Barbara Jean (Dwaileebe) Reilly
Olean, NY Barbara J. Reilly of 500 East Spring Street passed away Tuesday (June 5, 2012) at her daughter's home in Owego, New York after a courageous battle with cancer. She died surrounded by her family.
Born February 10, 1938 in Olean she was the daughter of the late Roy A. and Edna Zemer Dwaileebe., Sr.
Barbara was a 1955 graduate of Olean High School and she worked in the cosmetic retail industry for over 30 years, having received numerous awards and recognitions. In 2011, she retired from the New York State Department of Labor as an Administrative Assistant.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Maronite Church in Olean and she loved spending time with her friends, children, grandchildren and her dog, Meisha.
Surviving are six children; Angela (Matthew) Fleming of Maryland, Cynthia (Edward) Beatty of Arkansas, Cathleen (Lon) Johnson of Salamanca, Frank Reilly, Jr. of Texas, Edna (Scott) Pauly of Owego and Kelly (Timothy) Gathers of Georgia; two sisters MaryAnn (Phillip) Johnston of Maryland and Elizabeth (Ron) Gustin of Olean; one brother Roy A. (Joanne) Dwaileebe, Jr. of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; Elida (Alex) Green, Barbara (Brian) Johnson, Blayne and Leah Wilson, Anthony (Caitlin), Adam, Kayla, Cortney Johnson, Kayla, Courtney and Brandon Pauly, Jacob Gathers; 3 great-grandchildren: Mason, Nicolas and Cody Johnson; a brother-in-law James Caradori of Elma, NY and numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Judith Caradori.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road Olean on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday (June 11, 2012) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at10:00 am at the Transfiguration Oratory. Rev. Anthony Salim, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, will be the celebrant. A private burial will take place at St. Bonaventure Cemetery. An incense service will be held Sunday at 7pm in the funeral home.
Memorials if desired may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
