Obituary of Thomas McDermott

Olean- Thomas F. McDermott of 702 Delaware Ave, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (May 22, 2012). Born March 11, 1940 in Olean, he was the son of the late William L. and Margaret M. Hogan McDermott. Thomas worked at SubCon Industries in Olean. He attended Linwood Center and was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church. He was always thinking of others and would donate his personal belongings to give to those in need. Surviving are one aunt Nancy Hogan of Louisville, Kentucky; several cousins Kathy Hogan of Louisville, Kentucky, Dave Hogan, Andrew Hogan, Kathleen Jones, Patricia Hogan and Thomas Hogan; his friends from the ReHabilitation Center and his longtime girlfriend Sharon. He was predeceased by his parents and many aunts and uncles. Friends will be received at St. Mary of the Angels Church on Friday (May 25, 2012) from 9:30-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 with Rev. Gregory Dobson officiating. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to The ReHabilitation Center 1439 Buffalo Road Olean, NY 14760 or to St. Mary of the Angels Church 202 S.
