Obituary of Donna Phearsdorf

Donna Phearsdorf Allegany, NY Donna Phearsdorf of 2471 N. Nine Mile Rd. passed away Thursday (May 10, 2012) in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness. Born November 6, 1936 in Port Allegany, PA she was the daughter of Rufus and Ardis Springstead Hakes. On September 27, 1953 in Olean she married Oakley Phearsdorf who survives. Mrs. Phearsdorf was a graduate of Allegany High School and was a lifelong resident of Allegany. She had previously been employed for many years at Spears Electronics in Bradford, PA. She formerly had raced as a stock car driver on area tracks in the powder puff division. In later years she enjoyed bowling, playing euchre and bingo. Surviving besides her husband are one daughter Vickie Casey of Allegany; three sons Bruce (Connie) Phearsdorf, Donald (Danielle) Phearsdorf and Timothy (Jean) Phearsdorf, all of Allegany; seven grandchildren Amanda, Jammie, Donald,Jr., Oakley, III, Timothy, Jr., Matt and Hannah; one great grandson Landon; one brother Donald Hakes and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Joseph Hakes. At Mrs. Phearsdorf's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service scheduled at this time. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Fire Department.
