Obituary of Jane Grandusky

Olean- Jane M."Nana" Grandusky of 131 N. 7th Street, passed away Wednesday (April 25, 2012) at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Born November 9, 1914 in Olean, she was the daughter of William and Jennie McMahon McGavisk. She was to married Edward Grandusky for 65 years, before he passed away in 1999.
Mrs. Grandusky was employed for many years as the head hostess at the Castle Restaurant in Allegany. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are three children Carol Besok of Allegany, Gary (Lenore) Grandusky of Fredonia, Bruce Grandusky of Olean; her grandchilden Kim (David) Elling, Mark Grandusky, Gregg Grandusky, Gavin Grandusky, Alecia (Jonathon) Siuta, Kyle (Leslie) Matthew, Neil Fay seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, two sisters and two granddaughters Jennie Grandusky and Sarah Grandusky.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at St. Mary of the Angels Church on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 11 am. Rev. James Vacco, pastor of St. Bonaventure Church will officiate. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials if desired may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church or to a Charity of the donors choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Street, Olean.
