Obituary of Frank Glover

Frank E. Glover Olean, NY Frank E. Glover of 265 E. Riverside Drive died Thursday (September 1, 2011) in the Bradford Manor in Bradford, PA after a long illness. Born May 12, 1923 in Little Genesee, NY he was the son of Herman G. and Eugenia H. Wing Glover. On January 7, 1943 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean he married Clara M. Lippert who survives. Mr. Glover was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army for the Engineer Corps. He participated in the Normandy Invasion and served in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre. He had been employed for forty two years for Dresser Clark Co. in Olean, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church, the United Steelworkers Union Local #4601 and was a past member of the Olean Rod and Gun Club. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and also playing cards. Surviving besides his wife are five children; Michael (Florence) Glover of Olean, Herman (Jamie) Glover of Rixford, PA, Norman (Mary Beth) Glover of Portville, Jodi (Rick) Baker of Rochester and Frank Glover, III of Olean; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Frank Glover, Jr.; three brothers Arthur Glover, Herman Glover and Harold Glover and three sisters Clarice Winghart, Winifred Coleman and Nellie Nesuta. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (September 6, 2011) at 11:00am. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W.
