Mary Jo and family, A life is not to be measured by how much time you had but rather, by how you spent your time. The memorial tribute written about your dad was wonderful and inspiring. His legacy for others to reflect on are the memories he leaves and the family he loved. Peace, Comfort and Blessings. Tim and Lainie

Dear Mark and Family, I loved spending time with your dad (and mom) at Mark's house. Your dad was a gentle person who was full of optimism, courage and drive. I had respect for him based on what I heard and knew from Mark. Even though I didn't know him very well, I am going to miss him. I am praying for him and thinking fondly of all of you. Love, Diane Massimo

While we never knew Mr. Brooks, we both graduated from St. Bonnie's and we returned to live in Allegany for 11 years while Joe was on the faculty/administration at Bonnie's and before we moved to NY and Pace University. What Mr. Brooks has done for us is reunite us with his son, Mark, who we first met in '76 and spent many nice years with at Pace U. Mark just reached out to us today to tell us about his loss and to reflect on the past. So, thank you, Mr. Brooks. And, condolences to the Brooks family and friends (one of whom is his wonderful neighbor, Peg Bothner). Thanks for raising such a special son in Mark. Peace... Pattie and Joe

On behalf of myself and my family our deepest condolences go to the family of James Brooks. I had the pleasure of knowing this man when I lived on Main Street in Olean. He told me of his childhood and how he and his best friend, my grandfather, Grandon Warner were buddies for such a long time. Jim was a very caring man with a heartwarming smile and a warm heart. I shall miss you Jim but when you get to heaven be sure to tell Grandpa Warner "hello" for me and we shall see each other again someday. Again, to the family of James Brooks we are very saddened and sorry for your loss. May you all find comfort and peace knowing that God and Jesus are with us all
