Obituary of Gregg Scholl

Allegany-- Gregg P. Scholl of 24 Oak Street, passed away Sunday (March 13, 2011) at his home. Born June 2, 1955 in Olean, he was the son of Douglas and Dorothy Grega Scholl. Mr. Scholl received his Bachelor of Science from St. Bonaventure University. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Olean Area Astronomy Group. In his free time, Gregg enjoyed astronomy, computers, studying nature and being outdoors. He was a life long New York Yankees fan and enjoyed poetry and creative writing. Surviving is his mother of Allegany, one brother Jeffrey (Jan) Scholl of White Bear Lake MN, two sisters Melissa Scholl, OSF, of Allegany, Susan (Artoosh) Avanessian of Dunedian, FL; one niece Katherine Scholl; one nephew Peter Scholl; and many aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his father on March 25, 1996. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road on Thursday from 5-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday (March 18, 2011) at 11:30am at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, at a later date. The family requests donations may be made to HomeCare and Hospice 1225 W. State Street, Olean, or to a charity of the donor&amp;#39;s choice. <h3>Visitation</h3> Thursday March 18, 2011 5-8pm
